My photo passion began with this single stunning shot of Liverpool waterfront x2 cathedrals in 2004. I was very unwell and stressed & had been awake all night pumping with ideas whilst in the grip of a Bipolar high manic episode. From my bedroom I saw this magical early morning sunrise starting to develop so drove down to Woodside Birkenhead to watch the new universe unfold.
In November 2016 I decided to commit to what ended up as an 11 month mental marathon of x 20 sessions of Counselling for Depression & Anxiety. From somewhere I found the courage, strength & support to keep going even though there were many times I wanted to quit. However it was worth all that huge effort to finally piece together & understand what had led to my total breakdown, loss of my teaching career & subsequent mental health struggles over x17 years.
By October 2017 I was worn out & exhausted but in a much better place in terms of understanding my personal bipolar & how to manage it … more able to identify my stressors & triggers . I also coped with arranging & actually enjoying my 60th birthday with family & closest friends ! After all that I needed to rest, recover & reflect on what had been a huge turning point year for me.
Once I had regrouped I felt ready to start to work on my website . Many people over the years have helped get me to where I am today & when the time is right this very personal website will be shared initially with :
