Dr Singh = Many thanks for allowing me to review your website www.stepsandmoments.co.uk. I was very impressed with the content of the website. The front page outlining your passion for photography gives a preview of how you turned a stressful time into a passion which has been extremely helpful and productive for you. You have given detailed information on how you managed Bipolar Affective Disorder over the years, various trigger factors and coping mechanisms you have developed over a period of time. I was particularly impressed by your recognition that you still have wobbly days/weekends/weeks triggered by various stressors and how you manage them enlisting various support networks you have developed and most importantly using your own internal resources. You have also given links behind more information and help which will be useful for anyone accessing this website. As we discussed this website is a work in progress and I am confident that it will be a significant step in your journey.
Mark = very impressive what you’ve achieved with it so far
Marj / I love your website … the title & cover picture! The idea of your website is brilliant, its structure allowing you to focus on specific, important areas of your experience & activity, rejecting clutter ( I know that was hard). It allows for breadth & depth & your idea of selecting photos to take you ( and your reader) along your pathways was an inspiration. The impression is of calm control, allowing exploration without confusion. A truly mindful approach that must have been very satisfying & illuminating. I love your focus on beauty, using positive moments of awareness & stillness. I appreciate the open & honest sharing of your inner life & the way your language has reflected your thoughts & feelings about aspects of your life – and how you manage it. I believe your website could be really helpful to anyone experiencing mental health – or any personal crisis, encouraging people to pay attention to & appreciate good times & positive experiences – bringing them into focus with words and meaningful photos.

Geoff tech = you doing really well / have added picture size software to help / remember to always log out !!!
Martin = superb photos … like Port Sunlight best
Claire = just lovely … so many happy memories of times we’ve spent together at various locations came flooding back looking through them – especially the photos through the tree across the water to that lovely building with the pillars in Birkenhead Park. Your garden looks incredibly beautiful in the photos you’ve chosen too. I know how much thought you’ve put in to choosing each set of 10 pictures and they really are wonderful and special. Very proud of you and happy that you’re achieving your goals
Jackie = still like the swans best. Well chosen pictures … bet it was difficult to choose! Dr Singh feedback beautifully phrased.
GP Dr Liz Charles = I have very much enjoyed looking at the website and took the opportunity to look at your photos this morning, knowing that they only went on yesterday evening. Your photos depict your journey from the beginning of your bipolar journey to where you are now perfectly – I have seen many of them before, but enjoyed looking at the new ones on your website. I also appreciate the focus and sense of purpose developing this website has brought to you: I feel it has already been a benefit to you, and will potentially help others in the future, should you choose to share it outside of your support group in the future (but that is a decision you don’t have to take now, or indeed ever make that decision; it needs to feel right for you). Thanks for sharing your website with me , and I look forward to the rest of the site as it develops.Photo Gallery 10 /
Mark = I love animals so the picture of the fat little bird on the wildlife page is my favourite
Website section = Golf
Martin = incredibly thorough & impressive
Jackie (1) = Your golfing journey is so readable. I like your dictionary & Mind Games gives great pointers for me. Visiting the past can be both painful & joyous … thank you for sharing
Jackie (2) = Updates are good reading. I love your Zen Mind Games & so wish I could implement them … one day perhaps with mental practice
Claire = I think the golf sections look wonderful & the groupings work really well. I especially love your golf dictionary and it paints a really lovely picture of the game & experience as a whole. I can’t wait to read more as you work through it. I understood everything & I don’t play golf so I think you’ve pitched it perfectly
Website section = Mental Health
Geoff = It looks very good & will help a lot of people.
Martin = Very thoughtful, detailed, personal & informative
Claire = I’ve had a really good read through all of the Mental Health section & it’s absolutely wonderful. I knew a lot about how you feel yet you write so eloquently that I feel I know even more from the “My Bipolar Affective Disorder” section. It’s useful to be reminded of the things which make situations more challenging for you as it means I can give better support to you. I also love how you think of others with your other sections e.g. World Mental Health Day & providing links to useful sites. You know how proud I am of you and how proud I am to have you as my Auntie !
Jackie = Have just been looking at your mental health pages. It’s no wonder you get totally exhausted ! Very brave of you to tackle your wobbly world with such honesty and, may I say, real intelligence. You should be really proud of yourself … an awful lot of work & thinking in those pages and you’ve succeeded in helping me and others to understand. It will have helped you too. Very well done. I’m so glad I help a little with our x5 holes golf & it really helps me too . A perfect combination. Very proud of you.
Mark = Had a read through of the mental health part of your site. Very informative read and must have took a lot of effort.
Dr Singh = Excellent mental health website section. I agree with your further plans to extend the scope of your website in the coming weeks and your plans to discuss the same with your previous Inclusion Matters therapist to look at options of making it more public. It is good that how by avoiding technical language and making it more personable and readable, the information in the website can be very useful for your own reflection as well as the general public. Continue to ensure that you avoid becoming over stimulated and put boundaries into your website work.
Dr Charles = I just wanted to let you know that I have visited your stepsandmoments website and I very much appreciated the new addition of the mental health section. What strikes me is your honesty about the struggles or “wobbles” of your bipolar journey , and your constant everyday battle to find balance and calm in your life. Initially on this journey , an important part of my role was to advise you to avoid over stimulation and to remind you of the importance of incorporating rest and relaxation into each day. Now you know your triggers and “danger zones” very well, and you are much better able to achieve balance, calm and relaxation in your life with very little, if any, intervention on my part. I know getting to this point has been a difficult struggle for you, but you should reflect positively on just how far you have come to get to where you are now – maintaining such a level balance and calm. I also appreciate the useful links to other helpful and useful mental health websites. I am sure your honesty on this website, along with the links you provide, will be very helpful to other people experiencing mental health problems in the future.

Barbara Lamb
Your website is wonderful – I spent some time looking at it over the weekend as did not want to rush it in work, and it is really fantastic. I love the photographs – they say so much about you and what you love doing, but I also love the honesty and openness that you have used – it is very refreshing and makes the whole thing a pleasure to explore. I love the layout – you have made it easy to follow, and I like that I can take a peek into different aspects of your journey. Will you be adding to it as times goes on (you mention it is a work in progress) – or do you see that as completed – and if so what will be your next goal i wonder?
I am so glad that you are doing well and hope things go well with Dr Singh.
Please keep in touch and let me know how you are getting on.
Warm Regards
Barbara
